Extreme Situation

Snake

Some years ago, I saw a snake for my first time, It was the most traumatic situation I remember of my childhood.
That was a day when my mom asked me a favor that was go to the food storage for several bananas.
There my parents kept a lot of tubers and it was a room a little dark, and stacked. So I caught 1 banana and I didnt see anything, but when I caught the second one, I touched  with my hand something. Inmediately I scanned the tubers andnthere was a snake. The animal I afraid the most in my life and I was seeing one in that moment, Ok I not even thought, I just left the food storage and I ran like a lunatic. When my dad saw me run next him, he started yelling me. I told him what I had seen, then he went and he killed that snake.

It was a Talla X snake as is called in Choco or Bothrops atrox according to Google. Right now I recall that scene and I cant avoid laughing but I also feel panic because that is one of the most dangerous snake I have listened. I have ever thanked tha It was sleeping and I didn't wake it up.

I want to talk you more about X snake:

"These snakes are known to search for rodents in coffee and banana plantations. Workers there are often bitten by the snakes, which can lie camouflaged for hours, nearly undetectable, and strike with high speed. Their venom consists mostly of hemotoxin, a toxic protein that affects the circulatory and nervous system; it destroys red blood cells, and sometimes loss of memory occurs. They are much feared because their venom is particularly lethal and fast acting. Presently, treatment is usually possible if the victim receives medical attention soon enough.[11]Commonly, bites from this snake cause symptoms including nausea, blackouts, and paralysis. In almost all cases, temporary and sometimes permanent loss of local or 'short term' memory were reported”(Venomous Snakes of Guyana. (2006). [Blog] Iwokrama. TED TALK: Are you a giver or a taker?

Are you a giver or a taker? In every workplace, there are three basic kinds of people: givers, takers and matchers, that is the introduction Adam Grant make in this TED TALK. We find Paranoia everywhere; paranoia is caused by people Adam called “Takers”. Takers are self-serving  in their interactions, you know, people just worried with one's own interests. It’s all about what can you do for me? The opposite its a giver, somebody who approaches interactions by asking what can I do for you? He says we all have moment of giving and taking but your style is how you treat most of the people most of the time. Take a moment to think about yourself, is the best way to know. Is curious how common these extremes are, Adam found that most people are right in the middle between giving and taking. They choose this third style called "matching." If you're a matcher, you try to keep an even balance of give and take, that’s like I'll do something for ...

Dilemmas

Dilemmas Case 1: Sheila was in her last year of college when she decided to run for student council president. During her campaign, a school newspaper reporter saked her about something from her past. In high school, Sheila had once been caught cheating on a test. She had admitted her mistake and repeated the course. She never cheated again. Sheila felt that the incident was over, and she refused to answer the reporter¿s questions. The reporter wrote the story without telling Sheila's side, and Sheila lost the election. Her reputation at school was also damaged, and she's afraid won't find a job easily when she graduates. Sheila should have faced the problems with that situation before elections. She shouldn't have allowed that coverage about her spreaded. She should have feared to find a job easily, because her case is something could have happened to anyone. Besides, She had already admitted her mistake, so she could have been a role model for other guys.
